Chantal Alano
Chantal Alano is studying at Carnegie Mellon University as a double major in Material Science Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. In the long term, she hopes to work in the biomedical or biotechnology industry, specifically in research and development of biomedical devices. She has a special interest in regenerative medicine because of research she has worked on at Carnegie Mellon, which involves using stem cells to regenerate soft tissue. She wants to work as a biomedical engineer to improve people’s lives and their standard of living, inspired by how family members benefited from recent breakthroughs in biomedical engineering. In her free time, she enjoys playing guitar, focusing on fingerstyle guitar, with her favorite song being "Cherry" by Harry Styles.

Yifan Huang is a graduate student at the Information Networking Institute (INI) at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), pursuing a master's degree in Master of Science in Information Networking. After graduation, Yifan plans to be a software engineer focusing on full-stack software development. He became fascinated with algorithms and coding language in high school, believing that technology is essential for improving the world.

Isabel Joyce is a Materials Science & Engineering student with a minor in Biomedical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Her long-term career goals are to work on medical devices or clinical research to have a positive impact on others. Outside of her studies, she is active in her school's rowing team and is a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
